I had ordered this for my co-worker who's first language is Spanish. She cooks in our kitchen and though she speaks English well, she has trouble on occasion with reading the menus and recipes that are entirely in English. When I saw this as an option to review I jumped to the opportunity to help make her job a little easier due to the lack of accommodations made for her.

This is pretty cool! First, it comes shipped with a charging cable, and the device did come charged about 60% once I turned the device on, as well as coming with a protective case in case it gets dropped. Once powered on, it comes up ready to start scanning text, and reading it back (it also supports Wi-Fi). Using the device to scan text worked nicely, and it read everything back with a loud and clear voice. I had a book to scan, and made it speak the text in Japanese, and I got quite a kick out of it. In addition, you can use this to scan text left OR right handed, which is a bigger deal than one might think. This product is definitely worth the purchase, and the price, in my opinion, is absolutely fair.

This pen is a must-have for anyone who loves to travel. The offline scan translations make it easy to navigate in foreign countries, and the voice translations are super helpful for conversations. Love it!

I've been studying Japanese and Korean recently, and I often stumble upon words I don't recognize when reading.
